Foul Ball...

So in baseball terms, I think you could say we hit a foul ball. Our counselor called us this week with an opportunity; there was a very good situation presented where a birthmom had picked out us and six other families from the family album at the Cradle. We happily accepted the offer to show our long profile to her. Unfortunately, we got a call from our counselor the following day explaining that she had decided to parent herself; the baby had been in the nursery since the end of February, so it must have been a long and difficult decision for her. Anyhow, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and wait for another opportunity to come along. Maybe next time we will at least get to first base…
