Summer Days...

Not much new going on... Katie's work is still in limbo on a day to day basis; the latest this week is that invoices are not being paid (this is not a new issue, it is just becoming more problematic)...so liens are going to have to be filed. Oh so much fun... Until the banks start approving financing and giving out construction loans, architecture is not a very good profession to be in (along with all of you engineers, tradesmen, contractors, etc.).

Our pumpkins are starting to flower...so hopefully we we have some actual fruiting soon. Our friends Paula and Tim hosted a pumpkin carving party last year and had some big jack-o-lanterns, so these plants are grown off those seeds. Maybe we will have big pumpkins too!

Rob ran in our local 5K over the 4th of July; it starts and stops just two blocks from our house. Katie didn't run for she managed to gash her heel at the pool a number of weeks back (it is much better now and she is wearing shoes and running again). Below are some pictures from that day.
The run went through the paths and streets of Warrenville (these pictures are from the Warrenville Grove forest preserve that is just across the street from our house).

No adoption news on this end, but a blogging buddy had a placement this week...Hooray!

And finally...go Lance! It seems that his teammate Contador is going to take 1st, but he is still in the running for a place on the podium. Also, it seems that Radio Shack is going to be sponsoring a team for next year...shop Radio Shack...Yeah!
