Another nice weekend in Chicagoland; you can’t complain about bike rides in November. We even got into the big city for a party and met up with some old college architecture friends…always fun. Our friend Mike played some live tunes for us off his upcoming album… good times!

Been feeling a bit down lately about the whole adoption process…hoping that we can make it through the holiday this week without any stupid comments (hint hint). Is it so much to ask?

Our neighbor is leaving us on Gates Place; we are happy she is not going far…just down the road (still in Warrenville). New neighbors are closing on the property tomorrow.

Anyhow, on to a 3-day work week...big sales on Friday. We have our eye on a small television for the kitchen; they have the model we want at Meijer as a door buster at 4:00 am on Friday (great deal) but if we go stand in line, how many others are going to want that same tv?!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm a sucker for Black Friday sales!! My mom, sister and I make a tradition out of it every year and hit the stores at 5:00AM! The TV sounds great....hope the lines aren't too long for you! Hope you have a very peaceful and happy Thanksgiving!

here's to hoping turkey day is stupid question and comment free!! Actually, our day could be filled with that b/c we're going to attempt to take advantage of everyone being together to educate them about DIA and us in it. :/
