On the 4th, the Warrenville Firecraker 5k starts a block from our house. It is hard to complain about a race where you can just walk to the start line! Rob did very good getting 2nd/3rd in his age group (it was a tie..."F" got the second medal and Rob "S" got the 3rd) - 20:58. I did pretty good too with a 25:07...I have to be a lot faster to get a medal. Everyone agreed that the race was much better than last year when the temperatures quickly soared in the morning with a high over 100 degrees later in the day...this year, temperatures on the 4th maxed out only in the lower 80's.
We also watched the hometown fireworks down at the park. Actually, next door to the park. Our friends in-laws have a home across the street; it worked out fine for we could still hear the bands just fine without being smushed into the crowd.
The pups had a good holiday too. We walk or run everyday, and on the weekends like to make a special trip into a forest preserve for some walking. Until today, the weather has been pretty good. On the 4th after the 5k, we went over to Danada in Wheaton (which was almost empty) and enjoyed some of the trails. Today was very hot, so we put the pool out for them.

Sounds like you had a great 4th of July. It's nice to see your dogs keeping cool in the pool. Have a great week.
That sounds like a great holiday. Those dogs are adorable!

Hi KT, there is no single point of massage for allergy suffereres. I read you can massage the following points daily and (hopefully) get allergy relief. It may take up to two weeks.
So here goes: lung point, 60 seconds; sinus points, 60 seconds; nose points, 30 seconds; throat points, 20-30 seconds; eye points 30-60 seconds; lymph drainage points, 30 strokes. You can get a top and bottom view of the feet and pressure points here http://www.reflexologyri.com/reflexology_chart.html
