After being cancelled several times, we finally had our DCFS Education Advocacy education course...a six hour course regarding “the key to special education services”. This is one that has to be taken every four years; we are glad to have it done (and happy the instructor did a good job and was able to end class a bit on the early side!).
On Thursday, my mentee ‘J’ and I did something a little different. We went out for dinner at Noodles and then went over to Cosley Zoo (...brrrr) to see the Christmas lights and visit the animals. We won’t meet back at the mentor house until January, but we are going to try and make it over to Blackwell for some tubing sometime in the next two weeks. Seems like this is going to work as we are due for some more snow around Christmas.

Obviously, we didn't win the Mega Millions either. Hope Cosley was fun!

"J" is lucky to have you in her life.
